Sure, it's been almost a month and a half since I was asked these questions. Sure, no one else likely cares what the answers are. But you know what? Screw you. It's my journal, I'll post what I want, when I want. I'm busy these days, what with the hydrogenizing project. From Airsucker's post: 1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like. 2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. 3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. 4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post. 5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions. 1. We discused two fantasy authors. Who else do you like?I have very eclectic tastes, but I read a great series, Darkness by Harry Turtledove recently. But I also enjoy John Grisham books and Clive Cussler, as far as fantasy goes, primarily.2. Which James Bond?Sean Connery. Although this Daniel Craig fellow was becoming as a Bond also.3. What food do you find to be tasty and useful for attack?Dibs. They're delectable, and are perfect for close-range attacks upon the unsuspecting. Allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes, and the chocolate will still be strong enough to not melt in your hands before the launch, but a well placed shot (particularly to exposed skin of some sort, whether overtly or through loose clothing) will result in an entertaining splatter of chocolaty-ice-creamy-goodness.4. You have 5 dragons that you can send anywhere to sttack stuff. Where do you send them?I'll admit, this question is the one I spent the most time thinking of an answer to. I send them to Shanghai, Moscow, Mexico City, London, and Los Angeles.5. What lovely place do you hole up in after they find our it was you what sent them?If they're going to find out I sent them, I don't think it's going to matter. But I'll settle in a Dibs factory somewhere. | | |

I've updated my list. Also, I've added a couple icons. Tara, I stole one of you that I'll remove if you ask me to. I also stole one from some cat named |Ash|. I know I should ask for permission and all, but.. Obviously, if I won't ask my friend Tara, am I really going to ask a stranger? Yeh -- exactly. No, I won't. | | |
|
I'm going to steal a page from Tara's book.
I've been neglecting all of you. Please inform me of what's been going on the last.. oh.. month or so. I do want to know.. but I know I won't go pilfering back through the entries. So let me know what I've missed. :) | | |

I came to this conclusion today.
I'd rather be exhausted, stressed, and informed
than
tired, frustrated, and ignorant.
edit: I came to another conclusion earlier.
Fuck APA and its exactness. If you really
want to locate the source, you'll be
able to with what I've
given you. If not, find a way
to contact me.

I'll admit it. I was mistaken. I thought the Gary Jules version of Mad World was actually that of Tears for Fears. I've been corrected. Thanks, Rick.
With that, I give you Gary Jules' video for his version. Maybe Liz and Sara won't hate me so much this time. ::hopeful grin::

Stolen from Rachel. And Rick. | You scored as Bebop (Cowboy Bebop), Hope you don't mind being anime. Your style just fits perfect with the crew of the Bebop. Life is tough and your crew knows it, but you will find a way to survive. You always do. Now if only Faye would quit gambling all your money away.

Answers for Sara1. A monkey, a panda bear, and a turtle walk into a bar. What's the punchline? The punchline is: "But it was just your mother!" Unfortunately, over the years the text between the opening line and the punchline has been damaged to the point it is no longer readable, and the whole meaning of the joke has been lost. It is a tragedy, but at least we still have some of the joke still preserved.2. What is the single most motivating factor in the decisions you make?Truly a difficult question. Overall, I would have to say "my prolonged survival." There are a lot of other significant factors, but probably plays into every decision, somehow. Not necessarily physical survival either, I don't limit myself in that regard. A physical life isn't worth having without the emotional and spiritual life as well.3. Does the Geico caveman annoy you? What commercial has the most annoying mascot (past or present)?Surprisingly, no, he doesn't. Aside from when he's just being an ass, anyway. Being in such a minority it's understandable that he gets offended easily. I'd say to just look at Native Americans around as an example, but there aren't a whole lot of them, either. Off the top of my head, however, I can't really think of any particular commercial mascot that is the most annoying. Mostly because I don't watch that much television. There is a commercial for a local company of some sort, who's volume is about 8 times higher than anything else. Hearing her voice irritates me because it's so loud. Does that count?4. What qualities would you find in your soulmate? She's female. Everything else is kind of a, 'I'll know it when I see it' sort of thing. But probably intelligence, humor, and independence might work their way into the equation, among other things.5. What's your favorite time of the day?Lately, it's been any time of day when I'm not driving. Probably the late morning/early afternoon. After I wake up but before I go to work. It used to be late at night, but I'm finding I can't stay awake as long as I used to, so it's not enjoyable for the reasons it once was. Although sleep in its own right is an enjoyable time. | | |

Wait, wait. Before I post about what I want to talk about, I want to share this gem from class I just came across.
(These are direct quotes)
Larry (a student): know how you all feel I just went through my Associates Degree Graduation two weeks ago. It was a amazing thing and very rewarding. I plan to have a small cookout in August to celebrate. At fifty ad when you hated school as a kid we found it as a major goal accomplished. I plan to have my Bachelors next spring or at the very leest summer. And I plan to walk again and have a larger party afterwords. You all should go through the ceremony we have worked hard and sacrificed so much to get them ( time with family and freinds, timew away from TV HaHa, free time and hobbie time) you get the point so you need to achnowledge your achievement of your goals. Take and sit a side the time and give up what ever one last time you will never forget it.
Dr. Serapin (the professor) in response to the last sentence only: I could not have said it better!
Uh... huh. And I'm paying you to teach me?
------------------------ Back to my post.
To answer the first question, I was up super early this morning because I didn't sleep well last night at all. I don't really know what the cause was, but I attempted to go to bed around 1am, tossed and turned until at least 2:30, and again from at least 4:00 until I finally just got up around 6:30. Somehow I had the energy to not only remove a couch from my bedroom, but to then rearrange everything, clean out my closet, my dressers, and my desk, pack a million things to donate that I'll never use/wear again, and left early so I could take a test or two. I'm really kind of stoked about the clean room / new layout. It's not quite like moving, but it's uh.. well, really not like moving at all.
Now, however, I am tired.
But, the new girl has been through two days now, and she seems to be a quick learner, or at least she takes good enough notes to be independent when it comes to things she was shown previously. Sadly, the boss is taking her vacation after tomorrow until the beginning of July. We'll be fine, but she's fun to have around. It won't be the same without her. | | |
